More than a third of the European mineral water can be found in Romania. Since the ancient times, some lakes, collected in the craters of the old salt mines or as the result of erosion or breakdown of some stones, have been famous for theit therapeutic effects. At their turn, they all are a source of treatment. Due to their couring agents, these health factories can treat almost all the human maladies.

On the other side, Romania got the fame of an youth without old age country, in the second half of the last century, due to the therapy and medicines conceived by the scientist Dr. Ana Aslan. Many international VIPs from Charles de Gaule and J.F. Kennedy to Frank Sinatra or Claudia Cardinale benefited by the Romanian school of geronthology.

• Herculane Spa
  The resort is located in the gorgeous Cerna river forested valley, in the west of Romania. It was discovered and used by Romans starting with 105 – 107 a. C. The local mineral springs were called “Thermae Herculi”.   Felix Spa are located in the west of Romania, a few kilometres away of Oradea, at the meeting point of Crisuri Plain with the hills broken from Padurea Craiului Mountains, 140 m altitude.   Located in the south-east of Transylvannia, in the middle of some large forests and mountainous lawns, the spa is known since the old times as The Devil’s Swamp (Balta Dracului). This is one of the most interesting postvolcanic phenomenon noticed near Harghita eruptive massif. It is very rich in carbogaseous, bicarbonate, calcic, magnessian mineral springs, in carbon dioxide emanation of the mofettes. • Sovata
  It is located on a salt mountain at the feet of Gurghiu volcanic massif, in the centre of Transylvannia. A neckless of lakes – among them being the famous helioterm lake Ursu – provides miraculous couring agents due to the condensed chloro-sodic and the sapropelic mud. Alongside of the mineral springs used in the external coure, they recommend the spa in the treatment of the gynecological deases and the fight against the sterility. • Slanic Moldova Spa
  It is located on the eastern side of the Oriental Carpathians, 530 m altitude. In the baginning of the 20s century, it was already known as the Moldavia’s Pearl. It owes its fame, first of all, to the exceptional couring conditions it offers – those 20 mineral water springs with a varios chemical composition. Due to this duiversity of couring agents, Slanic Moldova became a polyvalent spa.   It is locate din the south-east of Romania, on the Black Sea Coast. • Olanesti Spa
  Located close to Ramnicu Valcea, due to the large number of springs and the various concentration of the mineral water, Olanesti Spa reunites many resorts in one. The local mineral water are considered medicinal water with a large therapeutic use. The afflictions of the urinary and digestive apparatus and the ductless glands, the dermatologic deseases and, especially, those allergic, cutaneous, digestive and respiratory (eczema, urticaria, bronchial asthma etc.) are treated successfully here. Good results are also obtained in the therapy of the nutritional and metabolic deseases (diabetes, gutta, obesity etc.).
• Calimanesti-Caciulata Spa
  Located on the right Olt river bank when it leaves Cozia Defile, the resort has a mild temperate climate with a strongly ozonous air provided by the surrounding forests, and excellent conditions for the anti-stress, neuroses and insomnia coures.
