Rural Tourism

Why rural tourism in Romania? The answer can be fast and simple: village and nature.
Village means the traditional civilization with customs well-known for many generations, with ancient holidays, original shows in which the old is combined with the new.

  • Bran
When you say Bran, you have in mind the castle built in the 14th century. But, under this name can be found many villages stretched on around 20km in length and 10 km in width such as Moeciu (there are two places with this name – Moeciu de Sus, near Bucegi, and Moeciu de Jos); Cave – a village located on the mountain, near Magura village, which allows you to see properly Bucegi Mountains ridges and Piatra Craiului; Sirnea, hidden in a calcareous valley; Fundata, whose houses are linked on many hills.
  • Sibiu
Sibiul means first of all Marginimea. From Saliste, a kind of “capital” of the area, to Sibiel (the museum with icons on glass being famous in the world), Tilisca, Rod, Jina, Poiana Sibiului or Rasinari (a village where many Romanian VIPs were born), the region is impresive due to the popular costumes, the dialect and the look of the village.
  • Maramures
Maramures means first of all water. Many villages were founded on Mara Valley, Cosau Valley, Iza Valley or Vaser Valley. They seem to play hide-and-seek with the mountains on whose feet they are located (especially Rodna Mountains, and Maramures). It is hard to pick just a few of them since the history and the culture are carved into the wook of the churches: Surdesti with the highest wooden church; Barsana with one of the most intersting monachal monuments in wood; Ieud or Bogdan Voda with one among the oldest wooden churches ; Rogoz and Rozavlea whose churches are listed in UNESCO world heritage.
  • Bucovina
When you say Bucovina you think about wood and the monasteries whose churches are painted on the outside. Located close to the churches, the local guesthouses exploit better than other the beauty of the landscape and the freedom. Vama, Vatra Moldovitei, Marginea, Solca, Putna are only a few villages where you can rest in the garden and see invaluable monuments.
  • Harghita
A land between the mountains it is the coldest area in Romania, but the most hospitable. On Zetea Lake bank or near Hasmas Mountains, to Lacul Rosu, near Sfanta Ana Lake – the only lake formed in a volcano crater in Romania – or at Izvoru Muresului, you can find accommodation and discover an ancient world.
  • The Danube Delta
  • The north of Oltenia.
