PALTINIS

Paltinis resort is situated in the North – East part of Cindrel Mountains, at 32 km from Sibiu city.
Paltinis is the oldest resort from Romania and also one of the highest (1442 m altitude).The center of the city is formed by villas. Some of them are historical monuments: Casa Turistilor (build in 1894), Casa Medicilor (1895) and Sala Monaco (1898).
Known as one resort for the white sports, Paltinis has special slope for different difficulty degrees.
The resort is also recommended for different treatments like those for: asthenia, body weak, anemia secondary and endocrine disease (benign hipertiroitism) etc
The city has several very intresting touring attractions, such as:

• The memorial house and grave of the philosopher Constantin Noica

• Different hiking routes
