With seven consecutive No.1 albums in the United States and six No.1 singles, Elton John has sold over 250 million albums worldwide with more than 50 Top 40 hits in nearly five decades of activity. |

Form his hits, we can mention some like: “Do not Go Breaking My Heart”, “Candle in the Wind”, “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” Feat. Blue, “I’m Still Standing”, “Sacrifice”, “Nikita” and “Something About the Way You Look Tonight”.
In 1994, Elton John became one “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” member and in 1998 he became knight.
The most recent studio album of his is “The Captain & the Kid”, released in 2006.
Elton John came in Romania for the first time on June 21, 2003, when he had one big concert on the Cotroceni stadium. The concert from this year is part of the biggest tour of the artist.
