BUSTENI
Busteni mountain and SPA resort is situated at 882 m altitude, at Caraiman mountain’s foot. From Busteni, you have many hiking routes for Bucegi Mountain. Omu Peak is the highest peak in Bucegi mountains, with 2504 m. Also here, you can find the unusual rocky formations, such as Sphinx and Babele. From here, you can admire the wonderful Prahova Valley. The subalpine climate of the resort is a very stimulating tonic.
Busteni resort has the biggest cable-car line for Romania and the 3rd in Europe.
During the winter period, Busteni resort is a very wanted resort for winter sports. The city has several very interesting touring attractions, such as:
- Cezar Petrescu Memorial museum that evokes the life and work of the writer
- “Last Grenade” Monument dedicated to the soldier Vasile Musat, dead in the First World War
- The house of culture
- The trout farm
