Held for the first time in 1968, the Cerbul de Aur (Golden Stag) Song Contest has managed to consecrate many stars who have enjoyed great success in the country and abroad.

Sinaia resort is situated on the Prahova Valley, in the Carpathian area, at the Varful cu Dor and Piatra Arsa Mountains foot. The resort lies at about 60 km north-west of Ploiesti and 50 km south of Brasov.

Tourist attractions:
Among the major tourist attractions of the resort, we can mentioned: Peles and Pelisorul Castles, Sinaia Monastery, Sinaia Casino, the Memorial House of George Enescu.
